Privacy Policy

In short

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising tools and loads nothing from third-party servers, not even fonts. There are no accounts, forms, comments or chats. Coloring happens entirely in your browser: your pictures stay on your device and are never uploaded.

Who is responsible

Hosting

The website is hosted by Render Services, Inc., San Francisco, USA, and delivered through a global content delivery network (Cloudflare). When you open a page, the host processes the technical access data that every website needs: IP address, date and time, the address requested, browser identifier and referrer. This data is used only to run and secure the website and is kept for a limited time.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation). Render is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR); EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply in addition.

Coloring and saving pictures

When you color on a tablet or computer, your browser does all the work on your device. Nothing reaches us. “Save” stores the picture directly on your device.

So that you can continue coloring later, your browser remembers which areas you filled, the list of these pictures (at most 40) and the colors you used last, in its local storage (entries that start with “ausmalwal:”). This is needed for that feature, is not a cookie and never leaves your device. You can delete it in your browser’s website data settings.

Children’s privacy

Coloring Whale is made for parents, caregivers and teachers to use with children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13: there are no accounts, sign-ups, contests, uploads, chats, analytics or behavioral advertising, and no third-party plug-ins.

The only way to reach us is email. Please have an adult write to us. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email kontakt@ausmalwal.de and we will delete it.

Contacting us by email

If you email us, we use your details only to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed for that.

Our mailbox is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany, which stores emails on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Where we process data based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA).

We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
